Debora Cluff and I run video announcements every morning at Mountain View El.  It works like a short news broadcast that is run by the students and stars them and mainly the principal or assistant principal. Sometimes we have on special guests as well. We also feature news stories which the students have filmed and edited. These are usually pieces having something to do with what is going on in the school like school wide behavior issues, special guests, or new people helping at school. It's a great wayt to let the whole school see what your students have been doing with their IDEA training. We showed John Kjar's project on the weather cycyle and it was a bit hit! If you have any questions on how this could work at your school, feel free to email me with questions. I've done this at another school in Centerville where I used to work and both times this kind of activity has been a hit with students and parents.
